DREAMING vs SURVIVING

Last Thursday in college, I met a classmate on the elevator. Her dark eyes were shining in the dim light. One year ago, I met her in my GENOGRAM class. She told us about her life. Her life was really tough! But, her speech was incredibly positive and her inner transformation was remarkably touchy.

Since she was a little girl, she had to face serious difficulties: family issues, health issues, and financial problems ... being in school, she got sick and she was in a wheelchair for a long time. Being in college, her parents left their young siblings behind. So, she dropped college and care of her siblings; otherwise, the department of families and children (DCF) could put them in foster care families. She said that they needed a place to stay until she could find a job and an apartment. So, she asked for help and got help from friends. And at this point in her journey, her speech changed because a change had happened. Instead of fighting against adversity, she started to wish and asked God or the Universe to make her dreams come true.

In her early years, she learned to overcome obstacles. It was a very tough lesson for a little girl. However, with those tough lessons in mind and changing the direction of her energy, she is achieving her goals. She put all the energy in having dreams instead of overcoming difficulties and she succeeded.

On the elevator, I told her how much I loved her story and we hugged when we said goodbye. Writing this post, I have tears in my eyes. I will never forget her transformation.

Below, there is a fairy tale to get you motivated to dare to dream. Remarkable things happen when you dare to dream.
