At the end of the last summer, a friend of mine and I went to admire the beautiful scenery of the sunset on an evening walk to the shore river. That evening, I was wearing a summery pendant which I had made two summers ago with a small rock, a peace of shell, and a piece of copper. Although it has no economic value, it has a sort of sentimental value for me. It was the first one I made of a jewellery collection called "The Ocean".
That evening, my friend and I were sitting on a picnic blanket on the shore of the river for an hour and we left just after the sunset. Back to my house, I realized that I was not wearing my pendant. I lost it where we were chatting. Running, I got on the train back where we went a while ago. It was getting dark and I didn't exactly know where we were. I just went there to calm my anxiety... I looked for a while; but, I couldn't not find it. Assuming that my pendant was lost, I went back home very upset.
A week later, my friend and I met again. I told him that I had lost my pendant a week ago on the shore of the river.
- Let's go to the shore of the river, he said .
- It's been one week. It will not be there, I said.
- Who could have gotten it? he asked. It is there for sure. Come on; let's go. I know exactly where we were.
Saying nothing, I hopeless followed him. When we reached out the place, he looked around just for three minutes.
And do you know what? After one entire week, he found it. I could not believe it, but he did.
Only people who believe that they can find, they will be able to do it. Searching hopeless, we cannot find what we are looking for. It is really a waste of time.
Nowadays, when putting my pendant on, I think that the theme of my pendant is not "The Ocean" anymore". Right now, its meaning is "Hope".
