When I was little girl, my weekend entertainment was to watch movies at the local movie theater with my girlfriends. Every Sunday afternoon, we watched two movies none of them movie premiere. My first Woody Allen's film was in that movie theater; it was Manhattan. I didn't probably understand it; I don't remember it. But, the Brooklyn Bridge and the New York City skyline at the background captivated me forever. It was the first time in my life that I had the desire to travel somewhere. About forty years later that dream came true. I went to New York city without planning it; I didn't care so much where we could go. The only place I wanted to go very bad was the Brooklyn Bridge. It was amazing! We crossed the Brooklyn Bridge just before the sunset when lights started to light up the NY city skyline. For a moment, I felt an overwhelming emotion. It was magic!
Nowadays, there are two places that I would like to visit. Both of them are due to American comics that I read when I was a little girl.
- The first place is the Niagara Falls. Since I read the Prince Valiant comic by Harold Foster, this fantastic place is a dream.
- The other one is Hawaii. Rip Kirby, a private detective is looking for the murderer of his best friend, a veteran of the Vietnam War. The island is full of mystery. This trip will not be soon, though.
